Family Movie Night Under the Stars – November 3. More info to come….
A huge thank you to the parent volunteers who helped during our Apex Fun Run last week, as well as at the Campus Clean Up this past Saturday. Both events were a huge success! And thank you to PFC members Rhea Karahalios and Nikki Smario for heading these two events.
These events wouldn’t happen without parents to help organize and run them. If you are interested in seeing what events are coming up soon at Hidden Valley, please come to the next PFC Meeting Tues. Oct. 3 at 7pm in the Library. Come and get involved!!!
A special thank you to Yazmin Llama-Morales for the donation of two art portraits (seen in the pictures below) that she was able to get from the artist, Lalo Alcaraz whom is a UC Berkeley graduate and cartoonist for major newspapers. The art will be displayed in the office. Next time you are in, please take a look. HVE appreciates the generosity.
Girl Scout Troops of Hidden Valley will take over management of Lost and Found this year. We’d like to announce a few changes.
*Lost and Found has moved to the area in front of A-Pod, visible from the drop off/pick up line.
*On the last Wednesday of the month, Lost and Found will be displayed for easy viewing on the patio tables.
*On the last Friday of the month, unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity.
*It is our goal to return as many lost items to their owners as we can. Please put your first and last name on all jackets, backpacks, lunchboxes and water bottles. If it has a name, it is more likely to be returned!
As you know, we are legally required to provide advanced written notification to parents of children who will receive instruction related to human reproductive organs and sexually transmitted diseases. We must also provide the parents with an opportunity to preview the materials being used for family life education. For the first time in over a decade, Mt. Diablo Unified has identified updated materials to address the Health Standards and State law.
