Who is the PFC and why does the PFC ask for donations?
The PFC (Parent Faculty Club) is an all-volunteer, parent-run organization fully committed to supporting both teachers and students at Hidden Valley Elementary. The PFC steps in to pay for many items the school otherwise cannot afford due to the state and district budget cuts. 100% of your donations are used by the PFC to pay for things like teacher supplies, classroom equipment; support services, reading incentive programs, campus improvement, and many school events. We ask parents to give what they can; any amount is appreciated. Everyone’s support is needed to ensure that our students and teachers have the tools they need to be successful. Donations early in the year can help to reduce fundraising efforts throughout the year. If you are unable to give monetarily, we have many volunteer opportunities throughout the year. And since each parent/guardian of a Hidden Valley student is considered a member of the Parent Faculty Club, each of you have a say in how we should raise money and how that money should be spent. We encourage you to attend the PFC meetings and join in the discussions that directly affect your child(ren). PFC meetings take place on the first Tuesday of every month, at 7 p.m. in the HVE Library. Please join us!
